Plot Synopsis: A lesbian couple (Rachel Ward and Bernadette Peters) who operate a tavern in Ireland find their lives turned upside down within a very short time frame when they take in a young orphan boy and one of them discovers that she has breast cancer.
The story is wonderful - neither promoting nor defending sexual preferences. It doesn't need to. When faced with tough situations we are all reduced to the same emotions and that's the focus of the film.
